sound, is a series of impressionist observations of the increasing desire for resolution and detail through the digital window, and the simultaneous consent to dissolution and pixilation of the direct human experience. Over a one-year period at the same location on each of 100 crossings of the Long Island Sound, one high-definition seascape photograph was taken. These high-definition digital images were processed and degraded to the point that the subject matter is nearly unrecognizable. The images are then printed to high-resolution translucent film and mounted to allow natural backlighting to filter through the image.
